Climate Research Coloring Pages

Information Design, Illustration
A goal of the Byrd and Polar Climate Research Center is to reach and educate people of all ages about climate science. When shelter-in-place became a fact
of life due to Covid-19, the Center saw an opportunity to give kids and parents an educational activity in the form of coloring pages about different researchers.

Over the course of three months, I created weekly coloring pages that explain scientific tools and concepts in simple words. These coloring pages were shared on social media and on the Byrd website for people to access them, print them, and color them. Finished coloring pages were then photographed and sent back to the center, some of which are displayed below. This project was a unique opportunity to engage with a community from afar by offering something with which people could directly interact.
