A Field Book of the Stars Redesign
Publication Design
Although written over one hundred years ago, A Field Book of the Stars is still a usable reference book to the skies of the northern hemisphere. To pay homage to the history of astronomy and the text’s original publication date of 1907, my design draws inspiration from the Art Nouveau movement. My goal with this design was to appeal to lovers of antiques, history, books, and (of course) stars while evoking a celestial and magical feeling. This project was completed as a part of Type Elective’s Contemporary Book Design course.
